Takis X. Ζenetos 2022

The magazine ek, in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, organized an event dedicated to the architect Takis X. Zenetos at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) on Friday, December 16, 2022.

Takis Zenetos passed away in 1977, at the peak of his creative career, and was one of the most daring pioneering Greek architects. His completed and conceptual work, ranging from buildings and urban planning studies to furniture design, is distinguished by its visionary approach and remains relevant today, engaging numerous scholars both in Greece and abroad.
Emphasizing electronic technology from early on, Zenetos may be considered a unique early representative of the digital generation of architects.
With recent interventions on two of his most significant works in Athens (FIX Factory/EMST and Lycabettus Theater), the importance of his contribution to contemporary Greek architecture is once again brought to the forefront, inviting new interpretations.
