Call for Entries: “EIA Architecture Award 2022”
31.05.2022
The Hellenic Institute of Architecture announces a competition titled “EIA Architecture Award 2022.” The Architecture Awards were first established in Greece in 2000 by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture. They are awarded every four years and recognize built architectural projects and their creators.
A distinctive feature of the awards is the final evaluation, which includes on-site visits to the selected projects by the jury, as well as discussions with the architects and users. The evaluation takes place in two phases, carried out by two independent committees appointed by the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture. In the first phase, all submitted projects are reviewed and 8 to 10 finalists are selected. In the second phase, these shortlisted projects are further evaluated, and the Award and Honorable Mentions are decided. The jury of the first phase also has the right to propose and evaluate projects that have not been submitted by their architects.
A bilingual catalogue will accompany the process, including the Award winner, Honorable Mentions, and all submitted entries.
Eligible projects must be completed architectural works located in Greece and must have been completed between 2017 and 2022. There is no limit to the number of projects that an individual architect or architectural team may submit.
