Exhibition of Entries for the International Architectural Competition for the Design of a Municipal Nursery and Multipurpose Hall
The exhibition of entries for the international architectural competition “ARXELLENCE” opened on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138. The competition was launched in January 2018 by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, in collaboration with ALUMIL, for the design of a Municipal Nursery and Multipurpose Hall based on principles of sustainable design, on a site proposed by the Municipality of Dionysos, in Agios Stefanos, Attica.
With this competition, the Hellenic Institute of Architecture aimed to encourage architects to develop innovative architectural proposals that can be implemented, contributing meaningfully to the improvement of infrastructure in municipalities and communities. The competition received significant interest, attracting a total of 136 registrations, of which 50 valid proposals were ultimately submitted. The submitted entries were distinguished by a high level of development and originality, featuring experimental approaches and exploring issues related to the principles of sustainable design.
