The ECCA Coated Metal Awards 2024, aimed at professional architects and designers from Greece and Cyprus, is an initiative of the European Coil Coating Association (ECCA) with the purpose of highlighting the best realized applications of coated metal elements in architecture and raising awareness about their significant environmental and aesthetic advantages.
Open Call
ECCA invites architects and designers to submit, free of charge, proposals of completed projects that highlight creative applications of coated metal. The projects, which may concern architecture, interior design, or art installations, can be submitted in three categories:
- S – Small projects up to 500m²
- M – Medium projects from 500 to 2,000m²
- L – Large projects over 2,000m²
Awards and Commendations
For each category, a cash prize of €2,000 will be awarded, while the awards jury may also grant Commendations without a monetary prize. Submissions are to be made digitally on the website ecca-awards.com with a deadline of March 31.
Awards Jury and Evaluation Criteria
The jury, consisting of representatives from ECCA and architects, will evaluate projects based on their aesthetic quality, design methodology, innovation of application, and project sustainability. The members of the jury are:

Results and Awards Ceremony
The announcement of the results will take place on April 30, while the award ceremony will be held during the ECCA Conference, which will take place this year in Athens, from May 22–24.

Organizing Body
The ECCA – European Coil Coating Association, based in Brussels, is the European organization for coil-coated metal. Its mission is to increase awareness of pre-painted metal by promoting its environmental, economic, quality, and design advantages.
ECCA undertakes initiatives to develop the market, applications, products, and processes for metal coating. It is also responsible for setting performance quality standards, developing testing methods for coated metals, and granting quality and sustainability labels for coil-coated metal based on the technical and sustainability criteria defined in the ECCA Premium® Label manual, verified through independent third-party audits. Furthermore, ECCA represents the industry in its interactions with public officials, authorities, other professional associations, and relevant industry bodies.
The awards are held under the auspices of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture (HIA), the Association of Greek Architects (SADAS-PEA), and the Association of Architects of Cyprus.
