The New Idea of Composition in Arts and Architecture
1st Announcement
The Athens School of Fine Arts and the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart are organizing an international conference titled “Bauhaus and Greece”, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus in Weimar. The conference will take place in Athens on May 30–31 and June 1, 2019.
The conference will focus on two broad thematic areas:
- The significance and influence of the Bauhaus on arts and architecture in Greece
- A comparative evaluation of the Bauhaus’s influence in other countries and the teaching of the arts
The conference will be accompanied by parallel publications and musical events related to Bauhaus culture, which will be announced soon.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Architecture.

Proceedings of the conference will be published afterward.
